National Conference – Wolverhampton, Saturday 11 July 2026, with Prof. Tina Beattie

When: Saturday, 11 July 2026 at 09:30
Where: Wolverhampton
Speaker: Prof. Tina Beattie

Overview

First LGB Christians Conference: national, in-person, ecumenical. We are not alone – We can help – We are growing.

Meet supporters and friends, face to face, from across the UK – and beyond – for the first time in a welcoming whole day conference in central Britain.

We aim to:

  • Overcome the isolation felt by gender-critical LGB supporters – by connecting regionally and nationally as lesbian, gay or bi Christians
  • Generate ideas on how LGBC can help its supporters – by doing workshops on practical approaches
  • Reflect on theological and pastoral ideas and arguments – by hearing from a distinguished keynote speaker Professor Tina Beattie
  • Offer and share ideas for action with churches and Christian organisations – by hearing from all participants and making connections

We hope you will leave this conference feeling … connected, empowered, determined, committed, joyful, creative, and optimistic, about being a supporter of LGB Christians!

Suggested topics:

  1. How to handle arguments about fundamentalism and homophobia?
  2. How to raise questions about the influence of gender ideology and misogyny on your church?
  3. How to be of help to local churches, schools, or chaplaincies?

We envisage that the conference will be distinctively Christian in its focus, though not in a narrow or dogmatic sense.

We look forward to seeing at our conference on Saturday 11 July 2026

Thank you for your interest and support.
